171 Animals in Cilandak Timur Receive Free Rabies Vaccination

Free rabies vaccinations were given to 171 rabies-transmitting animals in Cilandak Timur Urban Village, Pasar Minggu Sub-district, South Jakarta.

This aims to maintain Jakarta as a rabies-free city

Pasar Minggu Sub-district Maritime, Agriculture and Food Security Sub-agency (KPKP) Head, Ida said, the vaccination held at three locations in Cilandak Timur Urban Village is taken place from July 21 to 23, 2025.

"This aims to maintain Jakarta as a rabies-free city," she expressed, Thursday (7/24).

She detailed, rabies vaccination targeting cats, dogs, monkeys, and civets was held on July 21 at RT 04/07 Security Post. A total of 63 cats and one dog were successfully vaccinated.

Then on July 22, this was also spotted at RT 05/01 Badminton Court and successfully touched 70 cats, three dogs, and one each of a monkey and a civet.

"Then on July 23, it was also held at RW 03 Pendopo, Cilandak Timur Urban Village, and vaccinated 32 cats against rabies," she added.

She assessed, the residents' enthusiasm was quite high for bringing their pets to be vaccinated.

"This indicates that they are very aware of and care about the health of the animals and their owners," she assessed.

Then a thank you message comes from one of her beloved pet owners, Indah.

"I'm glad to have this service nearby my house. Of course I bring my cat for rabies vaccination," she admitted.
